About Dan
Dan Zelem is a transformational leader in Health Care Technology. He served as the Global Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Johnson and Johnson until he retired in 2018. As CTO, he had responsibility for Infrastructure and Application Services. He led many large-scale breakthrough technology initiatives, including delivering the first Digital and Cloud transformations ever performed in life sciences. At Medco, an industry leading Pharmacy Benefit Manager, over his twenty-year career he held positions of increasing responsibilities, culminating in being named CIO. During his tenure he delivered analytic products and platforms that were marketplace disruptors and differentiators. He led the build, deployment, and operation of medco.com, a $6B channel for on-line prescription ordering, an industry first. Currently an investor and provides technology advisory services to corporations, startups, private equity firms, strategic consultants, technology vendors and service providers. Dan resides in Rexford, New York with his wife Nancy and their two rescue dogs, Effie and Winnie. He holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Iona College in New Rochelle, New York.
